Five FrightFest Facts From Fabien Delage Writer and Director of Fury Of The Demon

FB1. Tell us about your film?
Fabien Delage: Fury of the Demon is an investigation that takes us on the traces of violent riots having taken place throughout the XIXth and XXth centuries, caused by a rare, fascinating and dangerous film attributed to French cineaste Georges Méliès. Through conversations with journalists, film-makers, historians, experts and psychologists, this new full-length documentary pulls back the veil on the most cursed and disturbing movie ever made.

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
Fabien Delage: I started making horror shorts with my friends when I was 10. I always had a passion for Horror since childhood. And when I grew up, I just kept on doing it but in a more professional way. That’s how I came up with the French ghost show Dead Crossroads and then Fury of the Demon.

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
Fabien Delage: I’d love to see “Found Footage 3D”. Found Footage movies offer numerous possibilities, it’s a subgenre that can be very entertaining if it’s done with creativity. A Found Footage spoof… why not? Wait a minute, it is playing at FrightFest!

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
Fabien Delage: Found Footage award! Again, this genre would deserve its own category.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
Fabien Delage: “Barbecue of the Dead”, starring Bill Moseley. And has-been pornstars, never forget the has-been pornstars…
