Tubi Kicks Off 2026 With ‘American Psycho 2’ and New Originals
Tubi is opening 2026 with an expansive January refresh for UK viewers, combining studio action fare, catalogue horror and a pair of new original films designed to tap into online fandoms and younger audiences. The free, ad-supported streamer will roll out most of its new additions on 1 January, with select titles arriving later in the month.

Among the headline library additions is American Psycho 2, the polarising follow-up to the 2000 cult hit, which lands alongside a varied horror selection that also includes 1408, Beyond Re-Animator and Final Girl. Genre fans will also find a strong helping of fantasy and comic book spectacle in Hellboy, Neil Marshall’s reboot starring David Harbour, joining the platform at the start of the year.
Action titles form a sizeable part of the January offering, with Pompeii, Inferno and The Cold Day of Light all becoming available, while science fiction is represented by Aniara, Outlander and of Total Recall – the 2012 remake starring Colin Farrell. Drama arrivals include Letters to Juliet, Liberation and Bleeding Love, the latter joining the service on 8 January.

Comedy remains a key pillar of the slate, with Clerks II, Anger Management and Killers available from New Year’s Day. Later in the month, Bachelorette arrives on 8 January, followed by Bald Brothers Comedy on 16 January, broadening the platform’s stand-up and comedy-focused programming.
The January lineup is also anchored by two new Tubi Originals. Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami premieres on 30 January, bringing the viral character Terri Joe into a feature-length farce set against the backdrop of Miami, with the story following her attempt to escape trouble while seeking redemption in a new church community. Earlier in the month, How to Lose a Popularity Contest launches on 16 January, centring on a high school election that spirals into romantic and personal complications.

Elsewhere, the thriller category is bolstered by Broken Bonds on 2 January and Death & the Maiden on 8 January, while reality programming expands with We Got Time Today arriving on 22 January. Rounding out the month’s additions is Warwick Thornton’s acclaimed western Sweet Country.
The January update underlines Tubi’s strategy of mixing recognisable titles with low-barrier originals, reinforcing its appeal as a cost-free alternative in an increasingly crowded streaming market. With availability across the UK and multiple international territories, the platform continues to lean on volume and variety as it heads into the new year.
