‘Evil Dead II’ Leads StudioCanal Presents’ Huge Halloween Horror Line-Up

StudioCanal Presents is loading up on haunted houses, werewolves, serial killers and Deadites this October, with a Halloween line-up that includes Peter Medak’s The Changeling, a trio of Hammer Horror classics and an Evil Dead triple-bill spanning three different eras of the franchise.

The streaming service will add a substantial batch of horror programming across the month, led by The Changeling, the 1980 supernatural classic starring George C. Scott as a grieving composer who moves into a mansion with a deeply troubled past. Directed by Medak, the film has long been regarded as a landmark haunted-house story and has been cited as a favourite by filmmakers including Guillermo del Toro and Martin Scorsese.

Hammer fans will also be well served, with Frankenstein Created Woman, Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb and Fear in the Night joining the service.

Terence Fisher’s Frankenstein Created Woman stars Peter Cushing as Baron Frankenstein, whose experiments take another macabre turn when he transfers the soul of an executed young man into the body of his lover. Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb, directed by Seth Holt, stars Andrew Keir and Valerie Leon, while Jimmy Sangster’s Fear in the Night features Judy Geeson, Joan Collins, Ralph Bates and Cushing.

The line-up also takes a sizeable bite out of Stephen King territory with Silver Bullet, the 1985 werewolf film starring Corey Haim, Gary Busey and Everett McGill.

For those who prefer their horror messier, the service is bringing together three Evil Dead films. Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead II joins Fede Álvarez’s 2013 Evil Dead and Lee Cronin’s 2023 Evil Dead Rise, offering three very different takes on the franchise’s particular blend of demonic possession, black humour and extreme gore.

Elsewhere, StudioCanal Presents… Serial Killers sees author, critic and The Final Girls co-founder Anna Bogutskaya examine the enduring screen fascination with serial murder, while all 10 episodes of dark comedy-drama Spotless will also be available to stream.

The October slate follows recent additions including Guillermo del Toro’s The Devil’s Backbone, Mike Leigh’s Hard Truths, Mothers’ Instinct with Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, and the German crime series The Black Forest Murders.

That broader mix is part of the platform’s ongoing monthly curation, which draws from StudioCanal’s film and television library rather than treating Halloween as a standalone seasonal collection.

The new horror titles arrive on StudioCanal Presents throughout October 2026, with the service available via Apple TV and Prime Video.
