MyAnna Buring’s ‘The Descent’ Script to Be Auctioned Ahead of FrightFest Screening

MyAnna Buring has announced a charity auction of personal memorabilia from her career to raise funds for All Our Relations, a grassroots organisation supporting families displaced by conflict. The Swedish-born British actress is offering her original script from The Descent and two handmade Long Susan skirts from Ripper Street Season 5. Bidding opens at £100 per item, with fans invited to send direct messages specifying their chosen lot. The highest bidders, will be contacted on 23 July at 4 PM UK time, and those lucky few will receive their items, personally packaged and sent by Buring.

All Our Relations, the chosen beneficiary of Buring’s auction, provides direct financial, emotional and practical support to families affected by the Gaza crisis. Founded with the mission to bridge gaps left by larger aid organisations, the charity has helped evacuate and resettle 20 families and raised over £100,000 through grassroots efforts.

The initiative coincidentally comes as Buring’s breakout film The Descent prepares to return to FrightFest in a special 4K restoration screening next month. Two decades after Neil Marshall’s claustrophobic horror premiered at the festival, the film is set to reclaim the main screen at London’s ODEON Luxe Leicester Square on 24 August. The anniversary event coincides with the launch of The Making of The Descent by Janine Pipe and Neil Marshall, offering fans a rare opportunity to revisit the landmark feature that redefined British horror.

Buring, known for her versatile roles across film and television, made her feature debut as one of the ill-fated cavers in The Descent and returned in flashbacks for its sequel. Her later credits include Tanya of the Denali Coven in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn parts one and two, as well as significant television roles in Ripper Street, Downton Abbey, and Netflix’s The Witcher. She was most recently seen in BBC’s The Responder and The Salisbury Poisonings.

By contributing key pieces from her career, Buring is using her platform to amplify the work of All Our Relations while offering fans a chance to own unique artefacts from two defining projects.
