‘Evil Dead Burn’ Gets Two Exclusive 4K Editions Packed With Bloody Extras
The Deadites are heading from the big screen to the living room, and Evil Dead Burn is arriving with considerably more than a standard home release. Sebastien Vanicek’s latest descent into demonic possession will make its UK Home Premiere on digital platforms on 24 August, before Studiocanal gives the film a physical release in October that includes two exclusive 4K editions packed with artwork and production material from the newest chapter in the long-running horror series.

Following its theatrical run this summer, Evil Dead Burn will be available to buy and rent digitally from 24 August. Physical editions follow on 12 October, with the film coming to 4K Ultra HD SteelBook, Ultimate Collector’s Edition, Blu-ray and DVD.
The SteelBook features artwork by Adam Middleton, created in collaboration with Vanicek. The more elaborate Ultimate Collector’s Edition uses exclusive Sophie Bland artwork and comes in a rigid box with a magnetic opening. Inside are storyboards, pages from the Book of the Dead, alternate poster art cards, a production notes book and two posters.
Both the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases will also carry three special features, titled ‘The Hot Shot: Evil Dead Burn’s One-Shot Sequence’, ‘Evil Dead: Blazing the Trail’ and ‘This One’s Gonna Burn’.
Vanicek, who made his feature directing debut with Infested, co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard. The film is produced by Rob Tapert and The Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi, with Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin and Jose Canas serving as executive producers.

Souheila Yacoub, whose recent credits include Dune: Part Two, leads the cast as Alice Price, a woman grieving the death of her husband who seeks refuge with his family at their secluded home. It proves to be a spectacularly poor place to recover. Members of the family begin transforming into Deadites, leaving Alice trapped in a gathering where bereavement, buried family tensions and demonic possession become increasingly difficult to separate.
Yacoub is joined by Tandi Wright, seen in Pearl, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey and Greta Van Den Brink. Behind the camera, Vani?ek worked with cinematographer Philip Lozano, production designer Nick Connor, editor Maxime Caro and costume designer Sarah Voon, whose previous credits include Evil Dead Rise.
The film is the sixth feature in the Evil Dead series, which began with Raimi’s low-budget 1981 landmark The Evil Dead. Its subsequent incarnations have included Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, Fede Álvarez’s Evil Dead and Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise. Rather than returning to a single continuing protagonist, recent entries have placed the Deadites in different settings with new characters caught in their path.

That remains the case with Evil Dead Burn, although its connections to earlier films have not disappeared completely. The film follows Evil Dead Rise as the latest extension of the series, with Raimi and Tapert maintaining their involvement behind the scenes and Campbell among the executive producers.
For UK viewers who missed the theatrical release, you don’t have long to wait. Evil Dead Burn will be available to buy and rent digitally from 24 August 2026, followed by the 4K Ultra HD SteelBook, Ultimate Collector’s Edition, Blu-ray and DVD releases on 12 October 2026, with pre-orders open now… For fans of the film it’ll be a great purchase for spooky season.
