‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’ Lands Collector’s Edition 4K This December
Rose Byrne’s bruising turn in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is heading to 4K this Christmas, with Second Sight Films preparing a Limited Edition Dual 4K UHD and Blu-ray release for Mary Bronstein’s acclaimed psychological drama this December.

The new collector’s edition arrives alongside standard releases and gives Bronstein’s film a premium home entertainment treatment following an awards run that included an Academy Award nomination for Byrne’s performance.
Written and directed by Bronstein, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You stars Byrne as Linda, a psychotherapist and mother whose life is steadily collapsing under the combined weight of a daughter with a serious feeding disorder, an absent husband, demanding patients, professional boundaries under strain and her own growing reliance on alcohol and drugs.

The film’s pressure-cooker structure keeps Linda under almost constant stress. Her family home becomes uninhabitable after the ceiling collapses, forcing her and her daughter into a motel, while problems at work and mounting tension with her own therapist push her further towards a breakdown.
Byrne leads a cast that also includes Conan O’Brien as Linda’s therapist, Danielle Macdonald as one of her increasingly demanding patients, Christian Slater as her husband Charles and A$AP Rocky as Jamie, a motel superintendent who becomes drawn into her increasingly chaotic situation.
Bronstein returned to feature filmmaking with the project after a long gap following her 2008 debut Yeast. The film was partly inspired by her own experiences caring for a seriously ill child and was shot over 27 days in Montauk, New York.

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You premiered at Sundance in January 2025 before competing at the Berlin International Film Festival, where Byrne won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance. The film later screened at Telluride, Toronto, New York and the BFI London Film Festival before its theatrical release through A24.
Second Sight’s Limited Edition will present the film in HDR with Dolby Vision and new artwork from The OC Agency. The set also includes a rigid slipcase, four art cards, a 120-page book, a new commentary, cast and filmmaker interviews and additional special features. The release gives the film another life on physical media after becoming one of the most discussed performances of Byrne’s career.
If I Had Legs I’d Kick You will be released by Second Sight Films as a Limited Edition Dual 4K UHD/Blu-ray set, alongside standard editions, on 7 December 2026.
