Meet Badger. His real name, Dean, is too lame for a hitman. Like all American Badgers, he prefers to be alone, and has hardly spoken a word to anyone except his Handler. But all of this is about to change with his latest assignment: make friends with call girl Velvet, extract information about the criminal Albanian gang she works for, and then kill her. What he doesn’t know is that Velvet is like a daughter to the mob boss and all hell is about to break loose in this gritty and turbo-driven hard action thriller.

1.Tell us about your film?
I think virtually all martial arts movies these days don’t give audiences enough credit. We choreographed for 4 months and created fight scenes that rival anything Hollywood has ever made. There are at least 120 people smashed and killed in the film, but never once do we insult the audience’s intelligence. Just because someone likes martial arts movies, doesn’t mean they are stupid.

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
Actually, my first movie was a musical. My 2nd was an action film. My 3rd is AMERICAN BADGER. My 4th film is a romantic thriller. My 5th film will be a horror movie, but I won’t make it unless I find a script that really
blows my mind.

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
RUNAWAY TRAIN (1985). I think it is has the best acting performances of any hard hiting action film ever made.

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
An award for most persistent filmmaker. I think we just take for granted that people make movies, but a]er you become a filmmaker you realize that every indie film that gets made is truly a miracle.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
It would be called “DISFIGURED”. Starring Jackie Chan.
