Horror Favourites – Graham Skipper

SEQUENCE BREAK is written and directed by Graham Skipper, known for his acting work in such celebrated genre films as The Mind’s Eye, Almost Human, and Beyond the Gates – as well as headlining Stuart Gordon’s acclaimed stage spectacle, Re-Animator: The Musical.

The film focuses on a reclusive video arcade repairman (Chase Williamson) who experiences bizarre biomechanical mutations and Cronenbergian hallucinations when a mysterious new arcade machine appears in his shop. Reality itself threatens to fracture as the young man works to solve its mystery – and overcome the new chaos that has entered his life.

After giving SEQUENCE BREAK 4 out of 5 when she saw it at FrightFest last year our very own Welsh Demoness got to interview Graham and ask him the most important question of all – What is your favourite scary movie and why? This is what Graham said:

“The answer to that question changes almost daily, but I think the most accurate answer is THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE. It’s got so many layers to it, it’s so artful, so challenging, dripping with sweaty atmosphere, and it still scares the hell out of me. It’s such a roller coaster ride that leaves me breathless every time I watch it. It’s perfect and it changed the genre in a seismic way.”
