Spielberg Discloses New Trailer for ‘Disclosure Day’
Universal Pictures has unveiled a new trailer and poster for Disclosure Day, a science fiction thriller directed by Steven Spielberg that is set to arrive exclusively in cinemas this summer.

The film marks Spielberg’s latest original project and centres on a question that has long fascinated audiences and filmmakers alike: what happens when humanity is finally confronted with proof that it is not alone in the universe? Promotional materials released alongside the trailer tease a world on the brink of revelation, with the film’s marketing built around the idea that the truth will soon belong to everyone.
Disclosure Day stars SAG Award winner and Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt, who leads a cast that also includes Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo. Wyatt Russell and Elizabeth Marvel appear among the wider cast, alongside Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Elliot Villar.

The screenplay is written by David Koepp, continuing a long creative partnership with Spielberg that includes Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The collaboration has produced some of the most commercially successful films of the past three decades, with their projects collectively grossing billions at the worldwide box office.
Production on Disclosure Day began in February 2025 and wrapped in May of the same year. Filming took place across several locations including New Jersey, New York and Atlanta. During production the project operated under the working title Non-View before the official title was revealed during the film’s early marketing campaign.
Behind the scenes, the film reunites Spielberg with long-time producing partner Kristie Macosko Krieger, who serves as producer alongside the director through Amblin Entertainment. Adam Somner and Chris Brigham are attached as executive producers.

The film also continues Spielberg’s decades-long collaboration with composer John Williams, who has been confirmed to provide the score. Williams has worked with the filmmaker on many of his most celebrated films and Disclosure Day represents their thirtieth project together.
Spielberg remains one of the most influential directors in modern cinema. Across a career spanning more than five decades he has directed landmark films including Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List. His most recent feature, The Fabelmans, was released in 2022 and received seven Academy Award nominations.
Disclosure Day will open in cinemas on 12 June 2026.
