‘Once Upon A Time in America’ Leads LEGEND’s May Film Premieres
A packed month of film premieres is heading to LEGEND this May, with Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in America leading a schedule that blends crime classics, thrillers and modern action titles.

The Robert De Niro and James Woods crime epic will air on 25 May as a channel premiere, bringing Leone’s final film to the platform. First released in 1984, the film traces decades in the lives of a group of Jewish gangsters in New York, and has since been widely regarded as one of the director’s most ambitious works.
Elsewhere in the line-up, Spike Lee’s Oldboy arrives on 10 May, offering a reinterpretation of Park Chan-wook’s 2003 South Korean film. Starring Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen, the remake follows a man released after years of unexplained captivity as he searches for answers. The schedule also includes Sydney Pollack’s Three Days of the Condor, with Robert Redford as a CIA analyst forced into hiding after his colleagues are killed.

Among the earlier premieres, Tarsem Singh’s Immortals will open the month on 2 May, with Henry Cavill portraying Theseus in a retelling of Greek mythology. The following night sees The Client make its debut on the channel, with Susan Sarandon earning an Academy Award nomination for her role as a lawyer protecting a young witness.
Further additions include S.W.A.T., featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Farrell, and Andrew Niccol’s In Time, starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in a dystopian setting where time functions as currency. Liam Neeson’s survival thriller The Ice Road will air later in the month, alongside crime titles The Yards, with Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix, and The Young Americans, starring Harvey Keitel and Viggo Mortensen.

The schedule spans several decades of filmmaking, from 1970s political thrillers to contemporary releases, with many titles appearing as channel premieres. LEGEND continues to position itself as a destination for both catalogue titles and more recent genre films, with the May line-up reflecting a broad mix of styles and eras.
Viewers can check listings for full broadcast times across Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat. With multiple premieres across the month, the full schedule is now available, giving audiences a chance to plan their viewing.
