‘HIM’ Comes Home as Jordan Peele Thriller Hits Blu-ray
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has brought HIM to home formats in the UK, with the psychological thriller now available to buy on Blu-ray and DVD through retailers including HMV, Amazon, Zavvi and Rarewaves. The release, which arrives in partnership with Spirit Entertainment, marks the first time the film can be experienced at home following its theatrical run in late 2025.

Produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, HIM centres on the volatile intersection of ambition, fame and personal identity. The story follows Cameron Cade, a gifted young quarterback played by Tyriq Withers, whose dreams of professional success are thrown into doubt after a violent encounter leaves him with a potentially career-ending injury on the eve of football’s annual scouting Combine. With his future uncertain, Cameron is offered an unexpected opportunity by his idol Isaiah White, an eight-time championship winner and cultural icon portrayed by Marlon Wayans.
Isaiah invites Cameron to train at his secluded compound, which he shares with his influencer wife Elsie, played by Julia Fox. What begins as a chance at redemption gradually shifts tone as the training intensifies and the power dynamics between mentor and protégé become increasingly unsettling. The film explores how devotion to greatness can blur into obsession, with Cameron forced to confront the personal cost of his pursuit.

Directed by Justin Tipping, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, HIM originated as a Black List script under the working title Goat. The project attracted Monkeypaw Productions in 2022 and was later retooled into a feature that combines elements of psychological drama and genre filmmaking. The supporting cast includes Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, MMA heavyweight Maurice Greene and musicians Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, several of whom make their feature film debuts.
The home release includes a slate of bonus material aimed at viewers interested in the film’s construction. Extras span deleted scenes, an alternate ending, behind-the-scenes featurettes and a full-length commentary from Tipping, offering insight into the creative choices behind key sequences.

Released theatrically in the United States in September 2025, HIM completed its box office run with global takings close to its reported $27 million production budget. With its arrival on physical media, the film now has the opportunity to reach a wider audience beyond cinemas. Catch it if you can!
