Southern California is set to be the epicenter of all things eerie and scary with the return of Midsummer Scream, the world’s largest Halloween and horror convention, to the Long Beach Convention Center from July 26 to July 28. This year, the convention opens its doors to thousands of haunt-lovers eager for a sneak peek at what the spooky season has in store.

Starting March 2, passes for the eagerly anticipated event will be available, offering a fright-filled weekend of fun. Fans are encouraged to act quickly to take advantage of a special early purchase discount of 40% off General Admission passes. The coveted VIP “Gold Bat” passes, which sold out in the previous year, will also be up for grabs without the discount. We have more info on this below…

Celebrating its seventh year, Midsummer Scream promises an immersive experience under this year’s theme, “A Haunting.” The convention will delve into both real and fictional ghost stories and paranormal phenomena, setting the stage for a weekend of ghostly encounters and eerie explorations. Event art by Suspiria Vilchez, also known as Suspirialand, will capture the chilling atmosphere, which will permeate panels, presentations, and special experiences.

More guest announcements are expected in the weeks to come.

A packed schedule of panel presentations will cover the season’s most anticipated news. Presentations by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest, and the Winchester Mystery House are just a few of the highlights, with more announcements on the horizon.

The Hall of Shadows will once again thrill attendees with 75,000 square feet of haunted attractions, offering a weekend’s worth of frights. Fear Farm will create an unforgettable entry experience for this darkly immersive feature.

True to Midsummer Scream tradition, the convention will also offer family-friendly and pet-friendly activities, including the “Pumpkin Patch” scare-free kids’ zone and the Black Cat Lounge for kitten adoptions. The Screaming Room Film Festival, presented by HorrorBuzz, and a diverse range of vendors, from Trick or Treat Studios to Froggy’s Fog, will ensure there’s something for every horror and Halloween enthusiast.
