Horror Favourites – Meredith VanCuyk

“Woman in the Maze” is the story of a young woman named Gabby (played by Meredith VanCuyk) who rents a house in the largest ghost town in America. She soon finds out the house is haunted, and any woman who stays gets trapped as the house becomes an ever changing maze. Can she solve the enigma, or will she become a permanent resident?
From Mitsh Patel (House of Quarantine, Instant Karma), Woman in the Maze brings terror to a small town in a supernatural thriller fashion, and fans of the genre will have a great time taking the challenge of its labyrinthine layers.
Below lead actress Meredith VanCuyk talks about the scary movie and shows she loves the most:
“I gravitate towards psychological thrillers/suspense films, ones that keep you on your toes and force you to do some mental work. Shutter Island and Black Swan are fantastic movies, and The Haunting of Hill House is hands down my favorite series.
I like the deep emotional connection between viewer and character, the push and pull between “good” and “evil” or “right” and “wrong”, and taking the mental steps with the character/s throughout the story.
I’m going to spotlight The Haunting of Hill House because it checks off the boxes that I listed above, but it is the most intense, real, gut wrenching, emotional and suspenseful film/tv series I’ve ever seen, with terror weaved perfectly in.
The actors and characters are incredible, the story is new and unpredictable, and the cinematography is beautiful. I don’t want to spoil it if you haven’t seen it, but get ready for a thrilling rollercoaster with the unexpected creeping around every corner.”
Woman in the Maze was released theatrically on October 6th, and will be on premium TVOD services from October 12th. It will be released in 82 countries starting this October.
