1. Tell us about your film?
A revealing and intimate documentary, “The Horror Crowd” spotlights the diverse Hollywood horror film community including African-Americans, Latinos, Gays, and Women.

It’s all about a community coming together, inclusive to all types, and forming an artistic, creative family where they can produce compelling films. It covers such wide-ranging topics as Women In Horror, Race Relations, Being The Weird Kid, Sparking The Imagination, Helping Each Other, Film Festivals, and The Dark Side. It features such Hollywood horror film notables as Lin Shaye (Star of the “Insidious” film franchise), Russell Mulcahy (Director of “Highlander” and “Resident Evil: Extinction”), Chelsea Stardust (Director of “Satanic Panic”), Oren Peli (Creator of the “Paranormal Activity” franchise), Clare Kramer (Star of “Bring It On” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Adam Robitel (Director of “Escape Room” and “The Taking of Deborah Logan”), Axelle Carolyn (writer for “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Ryan Turek (Director of Development at Blumhouse Productions), Brea Grant (Star of “Heroes” and “Dexter”), Greg Grunberg (from the new “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” films), Darren Lynn Bousman (Director of four of the “Saw” films including the new “Spiral”), Mike Mendez (Director of “Big Ass Spider” and “The Gravedancers”), Shaked Berenson (co-founder of Epic Pictures), Jeffrey Reddick (Creator of the “Final Destination” franchise), plus many, many more.

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
I’ve been an actor for many years and landing a role in James Wan’s blockbuster horror film, “Insidious”. That led me to travelling in those horror circles in Hollywood, which led to my idea of making the documentary “The Horror Crowd”.

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
Besides “The Horror Crowd”?!… Hmmm, let’s see… Oh, I know… It’d be great to have the original “Dracula”, “Frankenstein”, and “The Wolfman” shown back-to-back. I’m old school.

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
It would be the “Never Ever Give Up” Award.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
It would be called “The Pla and the Furious” and Dwayne Johnson would play me… But just from the neck up, because, you know…
