The Horror Face-Off You Never Expected: ‘Mickey-vs-Winnie’ Unleashed
Untouchables Entertainment has released the first teaser trailer for The Dark Domain: MVW Mickey-vs-Winnie, a horror crossover that transforms two of the most beloved children’s characters into monstrous killing machines. This marks the first public domain horror battle of its kind, plunging Steamboat Willie’s Mickey Mouse and A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh into a nightmarish showdown deep within the cursed Hell Forest.

Director Glenn Douglas Packard (Pitchfork) has crafted a twisted reimagining of these iconic figures, with Dark Mickey (Daniel Wilkinson) and Dark Winnie (Chris Boudreaux) tearing through unsuspecting victims in an unrelenting clash of terror. The film, lensed by Andy Patch (Little Bites, Allegoria), features special effects makeup from Emmy winner Daniel Phillips (Oz the Great & Powerful, The Hobbit trilogy), ensuring that these once-wholesome characters are transformed into grotesque, fearsome entities.
The newly launched teaser offers the first glimpse of The Dark Domain’s sprawling, sinister universe, introducing fresh horrors beyond its central combatants. Alongside the menacing Mickey and Winnie, the cursed Hell Forest gives rise to new nightmares, including The Stitcher, the Hellshadowers, and The Wickeds – creatures designed to unsettle even the most hardened horror lovers.

Packard describes his vision as a macabre mirror universe, twisting childhood nostalgia into a chilling horror spectacle. “We’ve taken the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey and A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh and turned them into something terrifying,” he explained. “It’s Freddy vs. Jason meets the Upside Down, where innocence is drowned in darkness, and the rules of childhood fairytales no longer apply.”
Set in a haunted reform school buried within the depths of the Hell Forest, The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie follows a group of estranged childhood friends drawn back to the place that shaped their fears. Unbeknownst to them, the forest has become home to something unspeakable. What begins as an attempt to reconcile their past traumas quickly descends into a desperate fight for survival as they come face-to-face with Dark Mickey’s sinister intelligence and Dark Winnie’s primal savagery.

With post-production complete, The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie is expected to premiere later this year. Given the ongoing surge in public domain horror adaptations, this film is poised to stand out as one of the boldest reinterpretations yet.
