NYX UK Premieres Fourteen Horror Films in November, Honours Karloff
Horror fans in the UK are in for a treat this November as NYX UK, the dedicated horror TV channel, unveils an exciting schedule packed with fourteen channel premieres. From cult classics to modern horror favourites, the line-up promises thrills for every taste. Notably, this month’s programme includes supernatural tales, slashers, and a special tribute to horror legend Boris Karloff on his birthday.

Leading the premieres on 6 November is Spookt (2023), the latest supernatural horror from Tony Reames, starring Eric Roberts. Airing at 9 pm, Spookt follows a group as they grapple with terrifying paranormal events that push them to the edge. Another highlight this month is Stage Fright (2014), a darkly comedic fusion of horror and musical directed by Jerome Sable, featuring Minnie Driver and the late Meat Loaf. This unique slasher-musical airs on 22 November at 9 pm, promising an unforgettable blend of scares and songs.
For fans of genre-bending horror, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead’s Spring (2014) will screen on 15 November at 9 pm. Known for its haunting body horror intertwined with romance, Spring has earned acclaim for its imaginative take on love and terror.

The channel will also celebrate Boris Karloff’s birthday on 23 November with a special double feature. Starting at 5 pm, NYX UK will present The Ghoul (1933), followed by The Terror (1963) at 7 pm, a Roger Corman-directed classic that captures Karloff’s haunting screen presence across different decades.
Sci-fi lovers are in for a treat with Roger Corman’s I Conquered the World (1956), airing on 8 November at 5 pm. This cult favourite stars Peter Graves and Lee Van Cleef, capturing the essence of 1950s sci-fi horror. Another memorable sci-fi piece, The Mole People (1956), screens on 16 November at 5 pm and features an iconic subterranean creature design that’s bound to captivate fans of the era’s creature features.
NYX UK will also explore Italian horror with the giallo thriller Short Night of Glass Dolls (1971) on 21 November at 9 pm. Directed by Aldo Lado, this suspense-filled classic dives into a world of murder and intrigue. Another cult Italian title, Beyond the Door (1974), which channels the supernatural tension of The Exorcist, premieres on 12 November at 9 pm.

In addition to Italian horrors, NYX UK showcases Spanish horror with Night of the Seagulls (1975) on 19 November. This final instalment in Amando de Ossorio’s iconic “Blind Dead” series airs at 9 pm, bringing a nightmarish tale of cursed souls to the screen.
For documentary enthusiasts, Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary (2017) airs on 29 November at 9 pm. This comprehensive documentary offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the classic Pet Sematary (1989), celebrating one of Stephen King’s most haunting stories.
Rounding out the line-up are some British horror gems. Carry On Screaming (1966), a beloved entry in the Carry On series starring Kenneth Williams and Fanella Fielding, will air on 22 November at 5 pm. And for fans of surreal thrillers, Spider Baby (1967), featuring Lon Chaney Jr., screens on 29 November at 5 pm, blending horror and dark comedy.
