New Clown in Town: ‘Jitters’ Brings Psychological Terror to Life
Get ready to meet the next clown you won’t want to cross. Marc Zammit, known for his haunting work in Witch, is back with a new horror feature set to leave audiences unsettled. Aptly titled Jitters, this nerve-wracking chiller promises a mind-warping experience, and the newly released posters offer a glimpse of the terror awaiting viewers.

The film, currently in production in the UK, stars Fabrizio Santino (Hollyoaks) as Detective Collymore, alongside Anto Sharp (The Dare) as Detective Harding. Rounding out the cast are Daniel Jordan as the unsettling Jitters, with Boo Miller, Jess Impiazzi, and Richard Wiskers all playing key roles in this dark psychological thriller.
In Jitters, Detective Collymore, a recently divorced single father, finds himself entangled in a disturbing case involving the mysterious death of a woman. Despite initial reports indicating natural causes, Collymore’s gut tells him something more sinister is at play. As he digs deeper into the case, he stumbles upon a twisted and perilous world that challenges his perception of reality.
At the centre of this eerie world is Jitters, a malevolent figure who blurs the lines between reality and nightmare. As Collymore’s investigation progresses, he is thrust into a psychological battle where nothing is as it seems. With each new discovery, the detective finds himself questioning whether the horror he’s experiencing is real—or the result of his own spiralling fears. The film promises a relentless descent into paranoia, keeping viewers guessing until the final frame.

Director Marc Zammit, who has garnered praise for his ability to craft intense and atmospheric horror, is looking to push the envelope further with Jitters. Speaking about the film’s unnerving concept, Zammit said, “This isn’t just about scares; it’s about twisting the psychological screws and exploring the fragile line between reality and fantasy. With Jitters, we’re creating a world that feels familiar yet deeply unsettling, where your worst fears become your waking nightmare.”
James Fuller of Aptitude Films, who serves as producer on Jitters, echoes this sentiment. “This project is truly unique in how it blends the terrifying and the unknown. Marc has a way of getting under your skin, and Jitters is going to do just that.”
The freshly dropped posters tease the film’s signature style, featuring eerie imagery and a cryptic reference to the colours red and green. With the tagline “Red or Green—what can it mean?” the posters suggest a deeper psychological game at play, hinting at the twisted layers of the plot.

Though Jitters is still in production, the anticipation is already building for what promises to be one of the most unnerving horror films of the year. Zammit’s ability to fuse psychological tension with traditional horror elements makes this a must-watch for fans of the genre.
The film is slated for release in 2025, but if these posters are any indication, Jitters is sure to start tongues wagging well before then.
