New Trailer and Poster for Horror Comedy ‘Scared to Death’

Get ready for a unique blend of horror and comedy with Scared to Death, the latest film starring genre greats Bill Moseley and Lin Shaye. The movie boasts creature creations by Legacy FX, known for their work on Godzilla X Kong, Avatar, and The Shape of Water. Directed by Scottish music video veteran Paul Boyd and produced by rising heavy metal performer Kurt Deimer, who also co-stars, Scared to Death is set to make its mark in the horror comedy genre.
The film features an impressive cast including Rae Dawn Chong, known for her role in the new Interview with the Vampire series. Comparisons have already been made to classics like Return of the Living Dead for its perfect mix of scares, laughs, and eccentric characters.
Scared to Death follows Jasper, an opportunistic young filmmaker eager to climb the Hollywood ladder. While working as a lowly production assistant, he seizes his chance to direct when he suggests to his cantankerous boss that the crew and actors of their upcoming horror film attend a real séance for research. The location they choose is an abandoned children’s shelter, closed for 70 years since the mysterious murders of five children in 1942. Ominously, the orphans were discovered scared to death. Once the séance begins, the motley crew finds themselves trapped inside the old house and haunted by the children … and something possibly worse.

Director Paul Boyd explains his inspiration for the film, “Years ago, I purchased an old house in Hollywood, and after hearing it was haunted, I decided to make a film about ‘believing is seeing’. With the help of my producer, Eric Barrett, we focused on a group of non-believers, like us, confronting their fears in a haunted house. I wanted to capture the humor and ridiculousness of the situation, where adults act like children when scared.”
Kurt Deimer, who also plays a new horror character named The Grog, brought his vision and performance to the film, enhancing its humor and depth. Boyd and Deimer’s collaboration resulted in a movie that blends horror with comedic elements, creating a unique cinematic experience.
The film also stars Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika, Wolfgang Novogratz, Humberly González, Larsen Thompson, and Jacob Batalon. The ensemble cast and the combination of horror and comedy elements promise to make Scared to Death a standout film.
Don’t miss the chance to watch the new trailer and get a glimpse of what awaits. Scared to Death is set to provide an unforgettable blend of horror and humor, and it’s a film that horror fans won’t want to miss.
