The Killing Hole Storm King

This summer, Storm King Comics is set to chill its readers with the debut of The Killing Hole, a gripping new graphic novel under its “Dark & Twisted” imprint. Launching on July 10, 2024, through direct sales and comic shops, before hitting retail booksellers on July 23, the narrative weaves an unsettling tale of troubled friendship, alienation, and murderous revenge.

Crafted by the acclaimed writer Steve Niles, renowned for his work on 30 Days of Night and Remains, and brought to life through the haunting visuals of artist Trevor Denham, The Killing Hole escorts readers back to the year 1979. The story unfolds through a confession from an aging man, revisiting his teenage years when he, a 14-year-old loner named Stewart, formed a precarious bond with Peter, a fellow outcast with a shared love for unconventional music and disdain for their oppressive suburban lives.

The duo’s quest for a haven leads them to construct an underground bunker, a secretive refuge from their tormentors and the disapproving gaze of adults. However, their sanctuary soon becomes the backdrop for a series of dark and deadly events, challenging the innocence of their bond and spiraling into an irreversible tragedy.
