New Year, New Fear with ‘New Fears Eve’

Prepare for a terrifyingly hilarious end to the year as Blood Moon Pictures ushers in the New Year’s Eve party from Hell with their brand-new horror comedy, New Fears Eve. Hailing from the grisly and ghoulish minds of P.J. Starks, Eric Huskisson, Jeffrey Reddick, Felissa Rose, and Dave Sheridan, this grotesque carnival of laughter and screams promises a roller-coaster ride for horror and comedy enthusiasts alike.

The tagline for the movie, “The Doctor Will Slay You Now!” sets the stage for the nightmarish revelry. The story kicks off as three inseparable friends — Leslie, Brian, and Moses, become unwilling participants in Hooper Industries’ annual New Year’s Eve bash. As the new year draws closer, the partygoers find themselves playing a deadly game of cat and mouse with a psychotic killer known as “The Doctor.”

This deranged harbinger of death and destruction turns the quaint town of Owensboro, Kentucky into a grim tableau of terror, leaving a grisly trail of bodies in his wake. Local law enforcement and FBI agents find themselves caught in a macabre whodunit, as the party descends into a grotesque bloodbath. With the trio and their colleagues trapped inside a seemingly impenetrable fortress with a bloodthirsty maniac, December 31st quickly turns from a celebration into a fight for survival.

Filmed exclusively in Owensboro, Kentucky, during the first quarter of 2023, New Fears Eve boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, featuring the likes of Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, The Devil’s Rejects), Hannah Fierman (V/H/S, Shudder’s Creepshow), and Jeffrey Reddick, the ingenious mind behind the Final Destination franchise. Also adding to the mayhem are Sonya Delormier (Phantom Fun World), Jay Woolston (13 Slays Till X-Mas), Alyssa Rhoads (It Lives in the Attic), Jason Crowe (The Art of Killing), and the terrifyingly talented Jesse McDonald as The Doctor.

Special effects for New Fears Eve were orchestrated by Stephen J. Hodke from Taintbad Productions, known for his work on Stranded, Wicked Ones, and Mr. Buzzkill. Hodke was assisted by Isa Blair Morales and Blaze Bolden, who brought their particular brand of visceral horror to life.
