John Carpenter Podcast Special

Although Zombie2 aka Alex loves horror he also loves Sci-Fi and so way back in January 2017 he joined with two other opinionated experts Chris and Sam to form the Science Fiction Rating System a podcast taking on the mammoth task of rating every Sci-Fi movie ever made!

Over the many episodes they have taken on many movies in their quest to create the definitive guide to science fiction films starting out ranking 3 movies at a time, each weekly episode now takes on 1 film in depth and dissects, discusses and ranks it on a ever increasing list that only run out when the intrepid trio run out of Sci-Fi movies or die.

With StudioCanal celebrating the work of the master of ‘80s sci-fi, fantasy and horror, John Carpenter, with the release of brand new 4k restorations of some of his most iconic titles: THE FOG, THEY LIVE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and PRINCE OF DARKNESS we decided to collect together the SFRS episodes on Carpenters fantastic films.

With podcasts on They Live, The Thing and Escape from New York below you can also check out the trailer for the new releases and the website here

First up was They Live which Alex suggested when everyone got to select a movie to rank.

Next came The Thing as part of a trio of impostor movies

Last and most recently was the brilliant Escape from New York. When Air Force One is hijacked and crashes on the prison island of Manhattan only Snake Plisskin can rescue the president. Join the Science Fiction Ratting System as they discuss John Carpenter’s 1981 cult classic.
