The film stars Jared Harris (Lincoln, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Mad Men) and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games) and Olivia Cooke (TV’s Bates Motel) and is directed by John Pogue (Quarantine 2: Terminal) and tells the tale of an unorthodox investigation into paranormal activity.

Professor Coupland (Harris) is a man who likes to bend the rules and when he takes his college students ‘off the grid’ to test his controversial theories, the experiments they conduct have dramatic results.
His theories revolve around using negative human energy to create a poltergeist and to achieve the desired effect the group’s test subject, Jane Harper (Cooke) must be pushed to her limits.
As Jane comes close to losing her sanity and the experiment manifests a terrifying evil force, it soon becomes apparent that the individuals are all in great danger and at risk of meeting a gruesome end.

The film is set in the 1970’s and is inspired by ‘true events’. It promises to deliver jump out of your seat scares and being Hammer’s follow up to the box office smash that was The Woman in Black (the biggest grossing film of 2012), expectations are high. It certainly has us excited!
