In Season One, Daryl washes ashore in France, the birthplace of the zombie virus. As he searches for a way home, he clashes with a fractured but rising autocratic movement centred in Paris and becomes caretaker to Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi – Show Me More), a young boy believed by the Union de L’Espoir to be a prophesied saviour of humanity.

Season Two follows Daryl as he grapples with his choice to remain in post-apocalyptic France, fighting off bloodthirsty walkers while protecting Isabelle (Clémence Poésy – Harry Potter, The Tunnel, In Bruges) and Laurent, who have become like family. Across the ocean, Carol searches relentlessly for her long-lost friend, facing dangers both living and undead as the two make their separate journeys toward reunion.

Torn between loyalty and conscience, Daryl and Carol must confront their haunted pasts and decide whether to keep pushing towards home or stay – and finally find purpose in their displacement.
