Launching what would become the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time, The Conjuring has amassed over $2.2 billion globally, cementing its legacy in the annals of cinematic terror.

Inspired by the real-life case files of famed demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, this chilling tale stars Academy Award® nominee Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) and Patrick Wilson (Insidious) as the paranormal power couple. Joining them are Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor as Roger and Carolyn Perron, the parents of a family plagued by a sinister force in their remote farmhouse.

Their five daughters are portrayed by Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Hayley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, and Kyla Deaver, while Sterling Jerins appears as Judy, the Warrens’ young daughter. The cast also includes Marion Guyot as Judy’s grandmother, Steve Coulter as Father Gordan, Shannon Kook as Drew—an investigator working with the Warrens – and John Brotherton as the skeptical local officer.

Directed by James Wan (Saw, Insidious) and written by Chad Hayes & Carey W. Hayes (The Reaping), the film is produced by Tony DeRosa-Grund, Peter Safran, and Rob Cowan, with Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter serving as executive producers. Wan reunites with his Insidious creative team, including cinematographer John R. Leonetti, editor Kirk Morri, costume designer Kristin M. Burke, and composer Joseph Bishara. Production design is by Julie Berghoff (Saw).
