The House of the Devil

Set in 1983 America, the story follows Samantha Hughes (Donahue), a cash-strapped college student who stumbles upon a babysitting ad that seems too good to be true. Persuading her friend (Gerwig) to give her a lift, Samantha arrives at a secluded mansion on the night of a rare lunar eclipse. But things quickly take a sinister turn, and it becomes clear that this isn’t a typical babysitting gig. As the evening unfolds, Samantha is plunged into a terrifying ordeal tied to a dark and ancient ritual — and survival is anything but guaranteed.
