Peachfuzz Is Back and More Twisted Than Ever in ‘The Creep Tapes’
The unsettling world of Creep and Creep 2 is expanding to the small screen as The Creep Tapes Season One arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital platforms on 12 May 2025. Brought to audiences by Acorn Media International, this six-episode Shudder Original series marks the return of Mark Duplass as the unnervingly charismatic and deeply twisted killer known as Peachfuzz, a role that has become one of modern horror’s most recognisable faces.

Directed by Patrick Brice, whose previous work on the Creep films earned widespread praise for reinvigorating the found-footage format, The Creep Tapes offers a deeper dive into the bizarre and terrifying mind of its central figure. Each episode adds another disturbing entry to Peachfuzz’s private collection of victim footage, documenting his elaborate schemes and unsettling encounters. Duplass masterfully slips between personas, donning guises that include a priest, a skydiver, and even an actor, crafting a performance that is both absurdly comedic and coldly sinister.
The season opens with Mike, an aspiring filmmaker who takes a job shooting a film school application for a man identifying himself as Jeff Daniels (Duplass). What starts as a harmless assignment soon devolves into a surreal and increasingly dangerous experience. Episode two follows Elliot, a bird watcher whose random encounter with a seemingly injured skydiver quickly spirals into something far more perilous. Episode three shifts into parody as Josh Faden (Better Call Saul, Twin Peaks: The Return) becomes the target of a “gotcha” video featuring Duplass in a disturbingly convincing priest role.

Josh Ruben (Scare Me) joins in episode four, portraying a desperate true-crime documentarian who finds himself entangled in Peachfuzz’s chaotic web. Episode five takes a psychological turn, offering a rare glimpse into the fractured mind and shifting personalities behind the mask. The season concludes with its most revealing chapter yet, peeling back the layers to expose the twisted backstory of one of horror’s strangest predators.
Special features on the release include a Shudder-hosted Q&A session with Duplass and Brice, as well as filmmaker commentary that promises insights into the development of the character and the creative challenges behind bringing The Creep Tapes to life.

Get an unnerving slice of modern horror with The Creep Tapes Season One when it lands on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital on 12 May 2025, promising a collection of encounters that are as shocking as they are unforgettable.
