Thursday 26th March // FIGHT CLUB // Manchester Central Library
I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise.
Forgive us for breaking the first rule… But we’re very excited to be screening FIGHT CLUB, the first in our season of contemporary literary adaptations.
Coming from the pen of Chuck Palahniuk, this cult classic sees Edward Norton and Brad Pitt go toe-to-toe as they channel their primal male aggression into a shocking new form of therapy.
With its themes of materialism, and consumerist-savvy dialogue, you won’t want to miss FIGHT CLUB on the big screen.
Each screening in this series will begin with a lecture around the film itself, and its literary roots.
5:30pm-8pm // £5 // 18+

Thursday 2nd April // AMERICAN PSYCHO // Manchester Central Library
I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.
Next up in our literary season comes AMERICAN PSYCHO.
Mergers and acquisitions? Murders and executions? Patrick Bateman is a sociopathic Wall Street executive with some very homicidal tendencies in Bret Easton Ellis’ controversial text.
Don’t even waste your time trying to book a table at Dorsia; just book a ticket to see this ultra-violent adaptation, with its killer ‘80s soundtrack.
Each screening in this series will begin with a lecture around the film itself, and its literary roots.
