Horror Favourites – Leila Scott

ERZULIE, a horror film about a group of young women that encounter a frightening lady of the sea, from director Christine Chen is hitting theaters and VOD and we managed to grab star Leila Scott to talk about her favorite scary film.
A reunion between four friends quickly goes awry when they find themselves face to face with ERZULIE: the swamp mermaid goddess in director Christine Chen’s frightening mermaid horror feature ERZULIE- in theaters and on VOD during May and June.
A Kamikaze Dogfight and Gravitas Ventures release, ERZULIE stars a hot young ensemble including Zoe Graham, Elizabeth Trieu, Courtney Olivier, Diana Rose, Leila Annastasia Scott and Jason KirkPatrick.

Below Leila Scott talks horror:
“I don’t usually watch a lot of horror films, I am very much what they call “Lilly livered”- ask your neighbor-friendly elderly person for the definition. Chuckie had me elope with the idea all dolls were inherently evil. Signs not only gave me nightmares, but led me to believe that by NOT finishing my water, and leaving glassware everywhere, I was somehow reassured it was a form of safety. When dealing with extraterrestrials that is.
What frightens me the most is when those old stories grandma warned you about become a reality. Like the Exorcist, or Saw. Hell, Hills Have Eyes were rough to watch and I live in Texas! Or neighbors, that movie had me messed up living near the woods in my first-floor apartment.
I’m an 80’s baby so the creature features: critters, tremors, and gremlins were what I grew up with. Jim Henson days where puppets dominated and CGI was second rate. Leprechaun in the hood!?! Nope! Now that I’m older I swing towards the thriller aspect of horror films, the “what if it was real” feeling. Candyman is hands down at the top of my list. Asian horror films are also among the top films I recommend binge-watching: The Wailing, TAG, #Alive, and if you like cats I recommend watching The Cat!”
ERZULIE ON DIGITAL THIS SUMMER AND IN SELECT THEATERS IN MAY
