Horror Favourites – Casper Van Dien

DANSE MACABRE is pleased to announce the UK and Irish release of Julian Richards’ award winning crime thriller SKIN COLLECTOR which is out now and we grabbed a brief moment with the films star Casper Van Dien to talk about his favorite horror film.

John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) stars as a serial killer who develops an unhealthy obsession with the only victim to survive his attack. Danielle Harris (Halloween) stars as the victim, a shy young secretary with an indomnitable will to survive. When the psychopath penetrates police lines to abduct his target, she must draw on all her resources to survive the ordeal. Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Rae Dawn Chong (Commando) are detectives charged with bringing the killer to justice.

Written and Produced by Robert Weinbach (Blind Man’s Buff, The Mutations) and directed by Julian Richards (Darklands, The Last Horror Movie, Reborn) SKIN COLLECTOR received its World premiere at Sitges Film Festival, its UK premiere at Raindance and its Irish premiere at Dublin Horrothon.

With its cast of genre favourites, SKIN COLLECTOR has won the support of leading supermarket Asda which will be stocking the DVD. Other outlets where the DVD can be purchased include AmazonHMVSimply Zatu and Deff SKIN COLLECTOR will also be available to stream and download from Sky Store, Prime and i-Tunes.

Below the brilliant Casper Van Dien gives us a taste of his favorite horror film:

“The Shining. – What isolation can do to a man is fascinating to me. We are such social creatures and I find the scariest things are the things that could easily happen to us. In the shining, Johnny loses it in a way that turns him against the ones he loves most. This is the beast that lives within us all.”
