David Chokachi Fights Against Time in ‘Married Alive’
A father and son stranded in the wilderness, a rising river, and a fugitive whose help may come at a deadly cost form the centrepiece of Married Alive, a survival thriller arriving just in time for Father’s Day weekend. The film, starring former Baywatch actor David Chokachi, is set for release on 21 June from distributor Studio Dome, positioning itself as a tense counterpoint to the holiday’s more traditional family fare.

Written and directed by Bruce Reisman, Married Alive follows single father Mack and his adult son Tony as they embark on what is intended to be one final off-road adventure before Tony’s wedding. The trip takes a disastrous turn when their Jeep plunges off a cliff, leaving Tony trapped beneath the wreckage in a riverbed as water levels begin to rise. With no mobile signal and time running out, Mack is forced into an uneasy partnership with a fugitive who may be his son’s only chance of survival.
Chokachi, best known to television audiences for his long-running role as Cody Madison on Baywatch, leads the cast alongside Allen Williamson, whose credits include The Rich & the Ruthless. Also appearing are Yancy Butler, Skye Coyne, Zach Mendez, Aaron Fors, Matthew Reis and Owen Alba-Harvey.

The film is produced by Chokachi, Reisman, Butler, Ryan Brown and Chris Harvey under the Stoneypoint Entertainment banner. While survival thrillers often lean heavily on physical jeopardy, the project places its father-son relationship at the heart of the story. Reisman said the film explores the difficult decisions parents face when confronted with impossible circumstances, while Studio Dome’s David Josh Lawrence described the feature as an intense examination of family and survival.
The release also arrives during a busy period for Studio Dome. Founded by producer Shaked Berenson, the company has expanded beyond distribution through its technology-driven platform serving thousands of titles across multiple streaming services. Berenson’s producing credits include genre favourites such as Turbo Kid, SLAXX, Big Ass Spider! and Tales of Halloween.

Among Studio Dome’s forthcoming titles is the horror-comedy Last Chance Motel, directed by and starring genre favourites Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton. That project brings together performers whose careers span several generations of horror cinema, a reminder of the distributor’s growing presence within the genre market.
