‘Cold Storage’ Heads to Blu-ray After Cinema Run
A night shift gone wrong sits at the centre of Cold Storage, the science fiction horror comedy now heading to UK home platforms following its earlier cinema rollout.

StudioCanal has confirmed the film is already available as a Home Premiere from 6 April, with physical editions arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 11 May. Directed by Jonny Campbell and written by David Koepp, the project brings together a cast led by Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell and Liam Neeson.
Adapted from Koepp’s 2019 novel, Cold Storage follows a containment breach involving a highly infectious fungus originally sent into space for research. Years after it is locked away in an underground facility, a systems failure allows the organism to escape, placing two overnight employees at the centre of a rapidly escalating situation. Keery and Campbell play the workers caught inside the storage complex, while Neeson appears as a former bioterror operative drawn back into the crisis.
Koepp’s previous screenwriting credits include Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible and Spider-Man, and his script here combines elements of creature feature storytelling with a confined setting. Director Jonny Campbell is known for television work including Dracula, bringing a different scale of production to the material.

The cast also features Lesley Manville and Vanessa Redgrave, with the latter appearing in a supporting role connected to the outbreak. The film’s events trace back to an experiment involving extraterrestrial organisms, with the fungus shown to mutate rapidly and infect multiple hosts, leading to a series of confrontations within the storage facility.
Following its initial release across international territories in early 2026, Cold Storage received generally positive responses from critics. The film opened in markets including Mexico and Brazil before arriving in the United States in February, with IMAX screenings forming part of its rollout. StudioCanal handled distribution across Europe, including a UK cinema release in late February.

The upcoming physical editions include a limited HMV-exclusive 4K version featuring alternate artwork and collectible art cards. The release adds to the film’s availability across digital storefronts, where it can currently be rented or purchased.
The film is available now on digital platforms, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD editions landing on 11 May.
