‘Voidance’ Brings Time Loop Tension To Sci-Fi London

A confined space, a ticking clock and a scenario that refuses to stay fixed form the core of Voidance, a new sci-fi thriller set to close this year’s Sci-Fi-London Film Festival. The film will make its European premiere on 17 May before arriving on digital platforms across the UK and Ireland on 25 May.

Voidance 2026

Directed by Marianna Dean, Voidance follows Alana Toro, an ATIC recruit undertaking her final assessment inside a simulated space station bar. Her task is simple on paper but far from straightforward in execution. She must stop a terrorist attack before it happens. Each failure resets the scenario, giving her another chance to identify the threat, though the number of attempts is limited.

As the loop continues, Alana is forced to reassess the people around her. The patrons she encounters offer shifting perspectives with each reset, making it increasingly difficult to determine who can be trusted. The structure places the focus on observation and decision-making under pressure, with new details emerging on every iteration.

The film stars Zoe Cunningham in the lead role, following her previous collaboration with Dean on Breaking Infinity. She is joined by James Cosmo, whose credits include Braveheart and Highlander, alongside Neil Bishop, Mim Shaikh, Billy Price and Chris Charles.

Dean’s background includes directing work across British television, with credits spanning EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street. Voidance marks her latest feature project, building on her earlier work in science fiction.

Production comes from Elli Films in association with Mind Engagement Productions and Unfolding Entertainment. The project has been positioned as part of a wider fictional universe centred on ATIC, an organisation operating across multiple planets and political systems.

Following its festival screening in London, Voidance will roll out internationally over several days, launching in North America on 26 May and Australia and New Zealand on 27 May.

Tickets for the Sci-Fi-London screening are available now, with the trailer for Voidance also online ahead of its digital debut. For more information and tickets, visit: richmix.org.uk/cinema/voidance/

  • Hello,

Following our recent trailer debut on Britflicks, I wanted to bring the temporal thriller ReLive to your attention ahead of our World Premiere at SCI-FI-LONDON film festival May 15th. It will be screening alongside a fantastic lineup of other genre-defining films.

Relive centers on a strong female lead and dives deep into the growing concerns surrounding modern technology. We believe the film’s exploration of these themes, combined with its suspenseful narrative, would resonate strongly with your readership.
    Here are the screening details:

    Film: ReLive
    Date: May 15th
    Time: 9:10 PM
    Venue: Rich Mix, Shoreditch
    Trailer: Watch here https://youtu.be/hjIYjbNYDF8
Story Details: ReLive follows a mother who loses her son to a mysterious temporal anomaly. Grieving and desperate, she discovers the ability to travel back 20 years to a post-college hiking trip, where she confronts the man who developed time travel. Her mission: to kill him before he discovers time travel to save her son. The story explores the emotional weight of second chances, the ethics of rewriting fate, and the unintended consequences of even the most personal interventions.

Thank you for your time and for your continued support of independent cinema.
    Best regards,
