The story follows a young girl named Caroline who becomes the unwilling host of a malevolent entity, her very soul slipping further from reach with each passing day. Her desperate mother seeks answers, turning to doctors, exorcists, and so-called specialists, yet none can free her child from the suffocating grip of the unseen force. As the fight for salvation intensifies, a devout nun steps forward, determined to confront the evil. But as she delves deeper, she uncovers a horrifying truth that challenges everything she thought she knew. The greatest danger may not be the demon itself, but something far worse—something no prayer can ward off.

With a cast led by Fernanda Romero, Jack Gouldbourne, Alice Coulthard, Gia Hunter, Charlotte Hunter and Roger Cudney, the film explores the fragile boundaries between faith and fear, logic and hysteria. Shot with the striking cinematography of Antonio Riestra (known for his involvement in Mama and Deep Blue Sea and a chilling score composed by Edy Lan, The Containment should deliver an eerie, unearthly horror experience.

Black Mandala has built a reputation for delivering genre films that go beyond cheap scares, focusing instead on deeper, psychological horror. The Containment looks set to follow in those footsteps, drawing comparisons to The Exorcist, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, and Hereditary in its atmospheric, slow-burning terror.
