Thriller “Reflect” Manifests on VOD Next Year

Cranked Up Films is set to captivate audiences with the North American Video On Demand (VOD) release of Reflect, a mind-bending sci-fi metaphysical thriller making its debut on January 9, 2024. Written, directed, and starring Dana Kippel in her feature film debut, Reflect promises a trippy journey into the unexplored territories of consciousness.

The film follows Summer, portrayed by Dana Kippel, and her group of friends who embark on a spiritual journey to Sedona, Arizona, seeking self-improvement. Unbeknownst to them, their every move is being monitored by mysterious hooded entities with a sinister agenda – taking over their bodies. The film explores the thin line between reality and the metaphysical, offering a surrealistic dive into the complexities of trauma, mental health, and female relationships.

Kippel leads a great cast, including Grace Patterson, Jadelyn Breier, Marissa Patterson, Ariana Williams, Corey Brooks, Eric Scott Woods, Dash Katz, Maya Knell, Ryan Jack Connell, and Joe Filippone. The collaboration resulted in a unusual cinematic experience that promises to challenge the audience’s perception of reality.

Reflect marks Dana Kippel’s debut as a filmmaker, and her multi-faceted role as writer, director, and star adds a personal touch to this metaphysical journey. The production, under Kippel’s Crazy Carrot Films, boasts a dedicated team, including producers Zac Coats, Ryan Jack Connell, Brian Duss, Grace Patterson, Loan Thach, and Rhiannon Moller-Trotter. Michael DeLano of COTU Media served as the executive producer.

The film’s world premiere at the Chandler International Film Festival garnered attention, and subsequent screenings at prestigious events such as the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival, the Sydney Science Film Festival, and the ETHOS Film Awards International Film Festival further solidified its place in the sci-fi genre.
