The much-anticipated second trailer for the supernatural thriller, Night Swim, has just been released, and it promises to plunge audiences into a gripping tale of horror. Produced by Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, the minds behind the chilling M3GAN, the film is set to make a splash with its eerie storyline and stellar cast.
Based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, Night Swim follows the story of Ray Waller, portrayed by Wyatt Russell (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). Waller, a former major league baseball player facing early retirement due to a degenerative illness, relocates with his family to a new home. The family, comprising concerned wife Eve (Kerry Condon), teenage daughter Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle), and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren), discovers a shimmering backyard swimming pool, which Waller hopes will not only be fun for the kids but also aid in his physical therapy.
However, the idyllic setting takes a dark turn as a malevolent force, rooted in the home’s mysterious past, surfaces, dragging the family into the depths of terror. The trailer hints at the suspense and horror that await as the Waller family grapples with an inescapable supernatural presence.
Night Swim is written and directed by Bryce McGuire, known for the upcoming film Baghead, and produced by horror maestros James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) and Jason Blum (Halloween, The Black Phone, The Invisible Man). The film is executive produced by Michael Clear and Judson Scott for Atomic Monster and Ryan Turek for Blumhouse.
Scheduled for release in the United States on January 5, 2024, by Universal Pictures, Night Swim is already generating buzz in the horror genre.
