Slasher The Blade Cuts Deeper Now on Kickstarter

The Blade Cuts Deeper

Liverpool-based independent filmmakers Gene Dolders and A.J. Ballard are seeking funding on Kickstarter to complete their upcoming horror movie, The Blade Cuts Deeper. The film is a fresh take on the slasher genre and is inspired by Italian giallo movies. The story follows a widower seeking revenge against the host of a lurid true-crime web series who has made a mockery of his wife’s death.

The Blade Cuts Deeper promises to be a treat for horror fans with its professional cast, gruesome kill scenes, and tense storyline. Kickstarter is now well established in the film industry and has helped bring countless great, independent British film productions to the screen. And in the case of this indie slasher horror, the project has already completed two-thirds of filming, so it’s only the final part of the film now needs funding. Supporters can visit the Kickstarter page to pledge support and receive unique perks, including a chance to visit the set in the north-west of England or own a bloodied prop from the movie.

The Blade Cuts Deeper

Director Gene Dolders, who made his start in the industry as a freelance cameraman in the corporate sector, has spent over a decade in the Far East, learning from different people in the business and soaking up the flavors of cinema on offer. The Blade Cuts Deeper is his debut feature film. The Kickstarter campaign runs until the end of March, so horror fans can support the project and avoid finding themselves in the crosshairs of the film’s cruel assassin, The Widowmaker.
