Haunting immersive theatre in Manchester this October

This year at Halloween instead of just reading ghost stories and watching scary movies, audiences in Manchester will be able to experience for themselves a spine-chilling encounter at one of the country’s most renowned haunted venues.

For nearly 200 years Antwerp Mansion has stood as a pillar of the Manchester Community. Over it’s lifetime it has been a family home; a diplomatic building; a gentleman’s club and a legendary Manchester night spot.

“If these walls could talk…”

This was exactly what inspired innovative immersive theatre company Electric Goldfish to create “Mansion”, a live production that will be the North West’s most spine-tingling Halloween experience.

In a live multi-sensory journey lasting approximately 40 minutes, audiences in small intimate groups will be guided on a chilling trip throughout the mansion, experiencing multiple scenes and live actors as a sinister story is brought to life before their very eyes.

Audiences will be told to keep their eyes wide open as they discover the past that haunts the mansion walls, as not everything is what it seems. Could the house be holding a secret that it’s only now willing to share?

Electric Goldfish are known for creating innovative theatre experiences (including supernatural mystery “The Pandora Network” nominated for Scare-con ‘best virtual experience’; and “Keep the Candle Burning”, a set of interactive audio ghost stories with immersive audio sound effects).

Tickets for Mansion are expected to sell out quickly. After a year of theatre venues being closed, and last year’s Halloween being somewhat restricted, audiences have been missing the magic of live theatre. Electric Goldfish are following the “We’re Good to Go” industry standard to create a Covid-safe experience.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the interest in the show. Audiences can’t wait to get back out there to experience live theatre in a safe way, and they are especially keen for suspense, thrills and scares at Halloween. We can’t wait to give it to them!”
