What are we watching on W4free this week?

Everyone is very much focused on Christmas, but the spooky season isn’t over quite yet.

Determined to keep the dark, autumn, Halloween vibes going for as long as possible, we’re teaming up with W4free to celebrate 10 sold days of great horror with November Nightmares, which begins tomorrow.

But preparing for that event hasn’t stopped us from making time to watch some other films that are available to stream on their platform.

The Driller Killer

If you fancy watching a classic horror film that was previously banned then The Driller Killer is a good choice. This ‘video nasty’ got a bad reputation in the eighties, which made it difficult to track down for years.

A disturbing meditation on madness The Driller Killer bores into your mind like the title characters power tool letting out a whole host of insightful nastiness against Seventies society along with the guts and gore.

The Dyatlov Pass Incident

This film first premiered at FrightFest and is based around the true life deaths of nine hikers in the Northern Ural Mountains in Russia in 1959.

The Dyatlov Pass Incident is a found footage horror directed by the man behind Cliff Hanger, Die Hard 2 and even A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.

Once it gets going, jumps and frights come in quick succession not to mention an exciting and imaginative ending.

Gremlin

There is little that gets between Gremlin and a good news story. Except perhaps a late night snack followed by a dip in the pool.
