‘The Bloodline of Bathory’ Releases First Poster and Cast List
A new British supernatural horror inspired by the legend of Elizabeth Bathory is moving towards its London premiere, with producers unveiling the first poster, cast details and creative team behind The Bloodline of Bathory.

Produced by Natasha Tosini through UK-based company TAW Entertainment, the film blends gothic horror, psychological tension and practical effects-driven violence while drawing directly from historical folklore surrounding the infamous Hungarian noblewoman often referred to as “The Blood Countess”.
Set in Yorkshire, The Bloodline of Bathory centres on four young women who book what they believe to be a historic Elizabeth Bathory-themed attraction operating as a commercial Airbnb experience. According to the synopsis, their stay takes a sinister turn after a double booking forces them to remain overnight inside the property, where they uncover a disturbing diary linked to Bathory’s legacy. As darkness falls, the house begins to transform into what the filmmakers describe as an impossible labyrinth where exits loop back inside and reality fractures around them.

The cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson as Nia, Natasha Tosini as Kim, Jasmine Sumner as Bailey and Claudia Gregory as Ambereen. Gemma Gordon appears as a mysterious figure known only as The Descendant, while Outlander and Midsomer Murders actor Michael Geary portrays the increasingly unsettling tour guide Martin. Additional cast members include Sean Bingham, Phil Deguara, Richard Jackson, Martin T Brooks and Beverley Rendelle.
Bryan Norris directs from a screenplay by Mitchell Banks and Simba Masaku, based on an original story created by Tosini. Behind the camera, Stefan Velev serves as director of photography, with Maria Galindo handling editing and colour work. James Cox composes the score, while Anna Joyce oversees special effects make-up and Nathan Geering coordinates stunt work.
The production places particular emphasis on practical effects and historical inspiration. The filmmakers state that many of the deaths, rituals and acts of violence depicted in the story are directly influenced by documented folklore and alleged torture methods historically associated with Bathory herself.

The film cites The Descent, Hereditary, Wolf Creek, Hostel and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre among its tonal influences, combining claustrophobic survival horror with supernatural mythology and psychological dread.
Festival and release details for The Bloodline of Bathory are still to be announced, though the production confirmed an official trailer will arrive soon ahead of its planned London premiere in 2026. We’ll share more news as it comes.
