1. Tell us about your film

My Mother’s Eyes is my second feature film.

I’m interested in “Uncertainty of identity caused by of technological progress”. My first feature “Woman of the Photographs” (which was screened at FRIGHTFEST 2020) also dealt with that theme.

2. How did you get into making movies?

I studied filmmaking at Kent institute of Art and Design, Maidstone in 2002-2005. I wanted to study filmmaking in the UK because I love British films a lot (Trainspotting, Full Monty, lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels etc…).

After graduating, I have been working as Commercial Film Director at Pyramid Film Inc, in Tokyo.

3. What film would you love to see screened at Frightfest and why?

The J-Horror Virus.

It should be interesting to see the analysis of J-HORROR from British filmmaker’s point of view.

4. If you could create your own award to give at FrightFest, what would it be and why?

“Most Talked about Film”

Because the charm of a film is created when it’s talked by the viewers. So, the most talked about film should be the most fascinating film.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?

“Midnight in New Cross”

I saw some horrific scenes in the night of New Cross when I was a student there. Starring role should be auditioned from the student of Goldsmiths College. So it can be a documentary…
