Storm King Comics Reveals a Monster-Packed 2027 Slate
Halloween may be over, but Storm King Comics clearly has no intention of packing away the monsters. The publisher has unveiled a substantial 2027 line-up featuring vampire mice, teenage monster hunters, queer serial-killer thrills and a post-apocalyptic romance, while Tales for a HalloweeNight Vol 12 prepares to arrive later this month.

First out of the gate next year is Mouse-ters Attack!, written and illustrated by Dennis Calero. The all-ages graphic novel introduces Count Mouse-cula, a diminutive vampire with plans for world domination, who recruits a collection of legendary “Mouse-ters” to help him achieve it.
The title sits under the John Carpenter Presents Storm Kids banner and is designed as an accessible introduction to classic monster mythology for younger readers.
“I’ve always loved the classic Monsters and wanted to do a story that was accessible to all ages,” said Calero. “A tale that was funny AND spooky.”
Mouse-ters Attack! reaches comic shops on 3 March 2027 before arriving in bookstores on 9 March.
Next comes The Grimms Town Terror Tales Book 2: Monsters Unleashed, written by Neo Edmund with art by Walter Carzon. The sequel finds Hansel and Gretel several months after the disappearance of their parents, with the twins now responsible for protecting Grimms Town from increasingly dangerous supernatural threats.

Their latest adventure reaches comic shops on 5 May and bookstores on 11 May, while the first volume, The Grimms Town Terror Tales 1: Rise of the Candy Creeper, is available now.
Storm King’s Dark & Twisted imprint continues its queer thriller series with Death Mask 3: Descent, written by Amanda Deibert and illustrated by Cat Staggs.
The new chapter sees Detective Maza and Death Mask drawn back onto the same path, forcing each to rely on the person they trust least as the distinction between detective and killer becomes increasingly unstable.
“Detective Maza goes darker than ever, and the lines between detective and serial killer blur,” said Deibert.
Death Mask 3: Descent arrives in comic shops on 2 June and bookstores on 8 June.

July then brings Shadow Boulevard, a new graphic horror romance from writer Steve Niles and artist Andrea Mutti.
Set after the end of the world, the story follows a weary monster hunter and a lonely vampire who discover that they may be the last beings left alive. Former enemies gradually become companions, and eventually something more, until another presence threatens the fragile existence they have built together.
Niles described the project as a “love letter to classic noir films”, combining supernatural horror with an end-of-the-world romance. Shadow Boulevard reaches comic shops on 7 July and bookstores on 13 July.
Before any of those titles arrive, Storm King will release Tales for a HalloweeNight Vol 12 on 11 November 2026 in comic shops and 17 November in bookstores.

The latest collection continues the long-running anthology series created by John Carpenter and Sandy King, bringing together writers and artists including Carpenter, King, Amanda Deibert, Cat Staggs, Kealan Patrick Burke, Steve Niles collaborator Andrea Mutti, Joe Harris, Nat Jones and Tim Bradstreet across 12 new horror stories.
The announcement comes as Storm King passes more than 100 published titles, including over 50 graphic novels, while continuing to expand its horror catalogue across several imprints.
Tales for a HalloweeNight Vol 12 arrives first on 11 November 2026, followed by Mouse-ters Attack! on 3 March, The Grimms Town Terror Tales Book 2: Monsters Unleashed on 5 May, Death Mask 3: Descent on 2 June and Shadow Boulevard on 7 July 2027 in comic shops.
