Like everything it seems that in the old days they did everything better and this even applies to remakes. De Palma’s Scarface, Carpenter’s The Thing, Cronenberg’s The Fly and Invasion of the Body Snatchers all made around the late 70’s to mid-80’s and all bold reimagining’s of the films that inspired them.
“How do you know there’s not a conspiracy? Like maybe the X-Files is right. Where do all these movies come from anyway? How do we know Spielberg, Lucas, Sonnenfeld, Emmerich haven’t been visited by aliens? Maybe they’re aliens themselves… Maybe they’re simply preparing us for what’s to come.”
Jamerson’s Cult Film Club has been showing free films for a while now and with Halloween coming up the club is organising some special screenings across the country to celebrate.
