‘Weekend At The End Of The World’ Heads To Digital After Festival Success
A new trailer has been released for Weekend At The End Of The World, with the independent horror-comedy now set for a digital rollout on 20 April 2026. The film, directed by Gille Klabin, arrives following a festival run that saw it pick up multiple awards and audience attention on the genre circuit.

Starring Clay Elliot, Cameron Fife, Troian Bellisario and Thomas Lennon, the film centres on two lifelong friends whose attempt to reset their personal lives takes an unexpected turn when supernatural forces begin to interfere. What begins as a retreat to a remote cabin evolves into a confrontation with events that extend beyond their control.
The project first screened at Grimmfest, where it received recognition for its technical work and tone, including Best VFX and a Special Mention for Best Comedy. It later secured Best Sci-Fi Film at the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival, further establishing its presence among independent genre releases.

Written by Klabin alongside Elliot and Spencer McCurnin, the story follows Karl and Miles as they travel to a family cabin after a failed proposal disrupts Karl’s plans. Their stay becomes complicated by the reappearance of Miles’ grandmother and the emergence of a portal linked to an alternate dimension known as The Allness. As the situation escalates, the pair are drawn into a series of trials tied to both personal and external threats.
Rather than pursuing a traditional theatrical route, the filmmakers have opted to self-distribute the film across North America. It will be made available on digital platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV, reflecting a growing trend among independent productions seeking direct access to audiences following festival exposure.

The newly released trailer offers a first extended look at the film’s blend of comedic elements and genre set pieces.
Weekend At The End Of The World will be available on digital platforms from 20 April 2026.
