Watch the Trailer for ‘Morgan: Killer Doll’ Before ‘M3GAN 2.0’ Debut
The Asylum has released the trailer for Morgan: Killer Doll, its new low-budget riff on Universal’s hit M3GAN. Written and directed by José Prendes, the mockbuster centres on a lifelike doll that begins exacting revenge on individuals connected to a woman’s mysterious death. Early footage shows the doll stalking victims and delivering a series of violent attacks, including a scene set in a bathtub.

Michael Paré, Bix Krieger and Shelby Wright headline the cast, joined by YouTuber Kylie Roseanne, credited as the Haunted Hippie, among others. The official synopsis reads: “When a lifelike doll begins killing people linked to a dead woman’s past, the remaining survivors must risk their lives to uncover the doll’s true nature before they become her next victims.”
Morgan: Killer Doll will be available digitally from 13 June and plays in select US cinemas from 20–26 June. Participating venues include Laemmle NoHo 7 in Encino, Aurora Cineplex in Roswell, Film Noir Cinema in Brooklyn, Hickory Ridge Cinemas in Brunswick and Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis. Rental and purchase options are live on Amazon from the digital launch date.

The Asylum has built its reputation on quick-turnaround productions that echo more prominent genre releases. Past titles include Snakes on a Train, Atlantic Rim and Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies. Although mockbusters often draw mixed critical responses, they continue to reach niche audiences through both streaming platforms and brief theatrical runs.
Morgan Killer Doll arrives just ahead of Universal’s official sequel M3GAN 2.0, which opens on 27 June and pits the original killer doll against an AI military prototype. By scheduling its release a fortnight earlier, The Asylum ensures its own take on the killer-doll subgenre hits screens and devices first.

Viewers can judge for themselves whether Morgan: Killer Doll offers enough inventive kills or familiar tropes to satisfy late-night horror cravings. Look out for the film on digital now.
