Catherine Zeta-Jones Battles Hitmen in Global Thriller ‘Kill Jackie’
Prime Video has confirmed that Daniel Ings has joined the cast of its highly anticipated eight-part revenge thriller Kill Jackie, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones. Slated for release in 2026, the UK Original series will launch across multiple territories including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Canada. With production underway, the addition of Ings adds another layer of intrigue to a project already generating considerable buzz.

Ings, known for standout roles in The Gentlemen and I Hate Suzie, will portray Sam, a buttoned-up lawyer who also happens to be a long-standing romantic interest of Zeta-Jones’s character, Jackie Price. Zeta-Jones leads as a woman who has carefully curated a luxurious life over two decades, travelling the world, trading fine art, and expertly staying under the radar. Beneath the polished surface, however, lurks a murky past: Jackie once operated as an international cocaine dealer, and her dangerous history is about to resurface.
When Jackie discovers that a lethal group of contract killers known as The Seven Demons has been hired to eliminate her, her carefully maintained façade shatters. What follows is a high-stakes, globe-trotting battle as she works to outwit and outlast her would-be assassins before they catch up to her. Expect elaborate schemes, pulse-pounding showdowns, and a protagonist who knows how to turn the tables.
The series is co-produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures, with Zeta-Jones herself attached as an executive producer alongside names such as Peter Lawson, Dante Di Loreto, Jeffrey Levine, and showrunner Tom Butterworth. The directing duties are split between Damon Thomas (Killing Eve) and Dawn Shadforth (I Hate Suzie, Adult Material), both known for crafting tension and character-driven drama.

Joining Zeta-Jones and Ings is a sprawling international cast that includes Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Óscar Jaenada (Rambo V), Hattie Hook (Ten Pound Poms), Darci Shaw (The Irregulars), Raff Law (Masters of the Air), Enzo Cilenti (The Crown), Christine Adams (Hijack), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Britannia), and Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh), among others. With such a wide-ranging line-up, Kill Jackie promises layered character dynamics and tightly woven suspense across all eight episodes.
Daniel Ings, fresh off roles in The Gentlemen series and the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, brings his trademark charm and intensity to a project poised to captivate international audiences. This marks yet another major milestone in a career that has spanned critically acclaimed television, high-profile films, and stage work.
Production on Kill Jackie continues in Bizkaia, Spain, overseen by José Luis Escolar’s Deabru Kalea Filmeak, with a 2026 debut on Prime Video.
