A24 and Sony Release Teaser Trailer for ‘Bring Her Back’
Following the phenomenal success of Talk to Me, directors Danny and Michael Philippou are back with another unsettling horror experience. Their latest project, Bring Her Back, is currently projected to hit cinemas on 30 May 2025, with A24 distributing domestically and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions handling international releases outside of China, Russia, and Japan. With a cast led by two-time Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins and rising star Billy Barratt, the film promises an intense psychological terror that builds upon the directorial duo’s knack for visceral horror.

Produced by Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton of Causeway Films, Bring Her Back is an entirely original concept penned by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman. The film was developed as the directors’ follow-up to Talk to Me, which became a runaway success in 2023, cementing their place as one of the most exciting horror filmmaking teams at the moment. The Philippous’ distinct brand of high-energy, nightmarish storytelling is expected to take centre stage once again, offering another deeply unnerving cinematic experience.
Filming took place in South Australia, with principal photography beginning in June 2024 and wrapping after an intense 41-day shoot. Locations around Adelaide and its outskirts, including Lightsview, served as the backdrop for the film’s haunting events. Given the brothers’ history of crafting immersive, anxiety-inducing horror, anticipation is high for what Bring Her Back has in store.

The full extent of the film’s plot remains under wraps, but the official teaser trailer has already hinted at a chilling and emotionally charged horror story. A24’s involvement suggests a continuation of the atmospheric, dread-fueled approach seen in Talk to Me, while the addition of Sally Hawkins hints at a performance that could elevate the psychological intensity even further.
The supporting cast includes Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, and Liam Damons. With the Philippous known for their ability to blend deeply unsettling imagery with raw emotional storytelling.
With Talk to Me praised for its relentless tension and innovative horror elements, the pressure is on for Bring Her Back to deliver another nerve-shredding experience. If the teaser is anything to go by, the Philippou brothers are once again set to push the boundaries of modern horror.
