Chateau tells the story of Olivia (played by Marks), an aspiring influencer on a quest for more followers during a trip to France. Intrigued by the eerie aura of a mysterious chateau with a shadowy history, she decides to sneak onto the property for an exclusive live-stream experience. But as the broadcast begins, Olivia’s seemingly thrilling adventure unravels into a terrifying ordeal. Dark, unseen forces emerge, intent on ensuring she doesn’t leave. With every corner haunted and every sound amplified, her digital quest for fame becomes a brutal struggle for survival.

For director Luke Genton, Chateau offers the chance to explore contemporary fears within the horror genre. “Chateau was a joy to make, and I hope audiences have a delightfully chilling time watching it,” he shared. The film’s blend of supernatural horror and suspense aims to captivate audiences and keep them guessing until the very end.

Producer and Film Mode Entertainment executive Epstein expressed his excitement for the AFM premiere. “We’re thrilled to be screening Chateau to buyers at AFM for the very first time. The exceptionally talented cast and crew have crafted a horror/thriller that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats,” he noted, adding that the film’s combination of horror elements and social media themes brings a fresh perspective to the genre.
