Voice of Shadows is set to cast a dark spell over audiences this September as it arrives on digital platforms, bringing with it a chilling tale of love, betrayal, and supernatural terror. Directed by newcomer Nicholas Bain, the film has already made waves on the festival circuit and will be available for streaming on major platforms, including iTunes/Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play, starting September 17. Voice of Shadows centers on Gabriel, played by Guillermo Blanco, known for his work in The Queen of Flow. Gabriel is a devout Catholic with a troubled past, who embarks on a weekend trip with his girlfriend Emma, portrayed by Corrinne Mica (Always, Lola), to a secluded estate she is set to inherit. However, the couple quickly discovers that the inheritance comes with a sinister twist. As they begin to unravel the mysteries of the estate, they find themselves entangled in a web of ancient rituals and a mysterious cult that demands strict adherence to a series of bizarre rules. As Emma is drawn deeper into the darkness, Gabriel must confront his own demons to save them both from a malevolent force that threatens to consume them.

Director Nicholas Bain, who also penned the script, brings a fresh perspective to the horror genre. Drawing inspiration from classic films like The Exorcist and Paranormal Activity, Bain has crafted a story that explores themes of power, discrimination, and the fragility of human faith. “Voice of Shadows is not just a movie; it’s a story about discrimination, class, and the responsibility of sacred power,” Bain explains. The film’s intricate exploration of these themes, combined with its atmospheric tension and haunting visuals, has already earned it several accolades, including Best Feature Film at the Romford Horror Festival and the Latitude Film Awards.

Bee Vang (Gran Torino) joins the cast as a young priest who becomes embroiled in Gabriel and Emma’s fight against the supernatural forces at play. The film also features strong performances from Michael Paul Levin, Martin Harris, and Maria Jose Vargas Agudelo, who each contribute to the eerie and unsettling atmosphere that permeates the film.

Its successful festival run also included a screening at the Lit Scares Festival, further cementing its reputation as a must-see for horror enthusiasts.
