Terrifier 3 Gifts Horror Fans Christmas Chaos This October

Christmas comes early for horror fans this year as Cineverse, Bloody Disgusting, and SCREAMBOX unveil the much anticipated teaser trailer and poster for Terrifier 3. The latest instalment in the wildly popular Terrifier franchise, directed and written by Damien Leone, is set to premiere in theatres on October 11, 2024, promising to deliver another round of stomach-churning horror and bloody thrills.
Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) should keep their eyes peeled for killer Art the Clown masks being distributed on the ground. These masks, sure to become coveted collector’s items, celebrate the return of one of horror’s most notorious new icons.
The Terrifier franchise has transcended its indie horror roots, becoming a box office and streaming phenomenon. Art the Clown, portrayed by David Howard Thornton, has cemented himself as a pop culture icon, captivating audiences with his terrifying antics and grotesque persona. The franchise’s success has paved the way for other indie horror films like Longlegs, In a Violent Nature, and Late Night with the Devil, significantly impacting the indie horror landscape.

Named by USA Today as one of the top 10 most anticipated horror films of the year, Terrifier 3 is poised to raise the stakes even higher. The film follows Art the Clown as he unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County on Christmas Eve. With the town peacefully drifting off to sleep, they are oblivious to the nightmare about to unfold.
The cast includes returning stars Lauren LaVera as Sienna, Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes, and Elliott Fullam as Jonathan Shaw. Joining them are Daniel Roebuck as Santa Claus, Antonella Rose, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, Jon Abrahams, and special appearances by SFX legend Tom Savini, wrestler Chris Jericho and The Lost Boys star, Jason Patric. Each actor is expected to bring their unique gifts to the film, promising an entertaining and shocking experience.
Director Damien Leone, who has been the driving force behind the Terrifier series, continues to push the boundaries of horror with his latest instalment. “We’ve upped the ante with more intense scares, incredible practical effects, and a storyline that delves deeper into the mythology of Art the Clown,” Leone said, reflecting on the evolution of the franchise.

Terrifier 2, released in 2022, became an instant cult classic, grossing over $15 million worldwide on a micro-budget. Its success generated immense buzz and mainstream attention, influencing everything from Saturday Night Live sketches to popular merchandise. With Terrifier 3, the franchise is set to continue its legacy, offering fans a cinematic experience that blends classic slasher elements with fresh, terrifying narratives.
Cineverse, in partnership with Bloody Disgusting and SCREAMBOX, has ensured that Terrifier 3 will receive a wide theatrical release, followed by streaming availability on the SCREAMBOX platform. The collaboration between these powerhouses of horror entertainment promises to deliver an unforgettable and gory film that Art fans won’t want to miss. It will also no-doubt draw big crowds thanks to its release being timed with the darkest time of year – Halloween.
