Late Night with the Devil Teaser Double-bill

In an industry where the quest for television ratings can drive creators to extraordinary lengths, Late Night With the Devil emerges as a cinematic exploration of ambition, supernatural intrigue, and the unforeseen chaos that can unfold on live TV. Directed by the Australian sibling duo Colin and Cameron Cairnes, this film takes viewers on a thrilling ride into the depths of horror, set against the backdrop of a late-night talk show gone disastrously wrong.
Starring David Dastmalchian as Jack Delroy, a New York-based late-night host whose show “Night Owls” faces a steep decline in viewership, the film showcases Delroy’s desperate bid to reclaim his audience. In a bold move to boost ratings on Halloween night, Delroy orchestrates a special episode that spirals into a nightmarish spectacle, featuring a skeptic, a mindreader, and a parapsychologist with her potentially possessed ward. The result is a catastrophic unleashing of evil, broadcast live to an unsuspecting nation.
The Cairnes brothers, known for their inventive approach to the horror genre, drew inspiration from the rich history of late-night TV and horror hosts, and no doubt in some part the possession movies of the 70s.

Late Night With the Devil not only received a warm reception at its SXSW premiere but also garnered acclaim from horror legend Stephen King, who praised its brilliance. This endorsement, coupled with the film’s successful festival run and its 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, underscores its impact so far.
Scheduled for release in theaters on March 22 and streaming on Shudder from April 19, the film promises a unique blend of horror and satirical commentary on the entertainment industry. Through its portrayal of a live broadcast gone awry, it explores the lengths to which individuals will go for fame, and the unpredictable consequences of meddling with the unknown.
Late Night With the Devil has already been making pretty big waves, and a lot of that is down to their teaser trailers which have done well to give a flavour of the scares and aesthetic without giving away too much about the plot or the terrors that lie in wait.
